The canton of Valais is a true Eldorado for golfers. 9 golf clubs, five 18-hole golf courses in Verbier, Sion, Crans-Montana, the links course Leuk and Sierre as well as four 9-hole courses in Crans-Montana (the Jack Nicklaus Course), at Riederalp and in Goms the site Source du Rhône, plus the Matterhorn Golf Club situated on a high-lying plateau at an altitude of 1,400 metres.
