Golf Club Arosa

There can hardly be a nicer name for a ski resort than this one but during the summer months, Arosa comes up with golfing superlatives of a special kind. You will find the highest placed golf course of Central Europe up in Arosa, in a natural setting at an altitude of 1,840 metres. Nowhere in Europe will you find 18 holes at a higher altitude (course length 4,200 m, par 65). As you play the round you’ll be surrounded by alpine huts and healthy mountain air that will carry the ball further. From 7 p.m. onwards cows are allowed on the golf course, and if you ever see someone on Zurich’s elegant Bahnhofstrasse with cowpats on his shoes it will probably be a golfer with a happy smile on his face who just played at Arosa.
